Below are some FAqs to help guide you in the legendary San Clemente “surf Ghetto”.

  • The Art Crawl encompasses multiple spaces / venues in the Los Molinos business district of San Clemente. Currently, the main galleries are No Joke Gallery, Los Molinos Beer Co., and FICUS (in the alley). See our interactive map to navigate the spaces, especially as we potentially add / rotate additional venues.

  • Definitely NOT at the Elk's Lodge parking lot, even if it's tempting. There should be ample street parking throughout, or for a short walk, El Camino Real is a great option.

  • Both food and drinks can be purchased at Los Molinos Beer Co., which also happens to be a gallery stop and generous supporter.

Walking distance options for food & drinks also include Rider’s Club and Mulligan's. There will also be limited drinks available at the galleries, No Joke and FICUS.

  • Yes, just be a responsible pet-owner and it should be fine.

  • Yes, if accompanied by an adult, as some of the venues may feature explicit art, in addition to alcohol for those 21+.

  • See our submission form in the next section.

  • Why not! But really, many Art Walks are, plus we like the idea of having fun things to do on a week night.

Submit ART?

Interested in featuring your art at the San Clemente Art Crawl? There are a few caveats to keep in mind.

  • We are currently limited in the number of venues / galleries. FICUS is our main rotating space, where we can curate and accommodate a few artists as a group showing. Los Molinos Beer has some interior and exterior walls that can be used, depending on the artist, but we’ve found that vendors / table set-ups work best there. No Joke Gallery is curated independently of the art crawl, but bands can also submit below to potentially perform.

  • Set-up and / or hanging must be simplified to be completed within a few hours. Set-up can begin roughly 3 PM the day-of and should ideally be completed by 6 PM. Tear-down occurs at the end of the night, 10 pm. This is a one-night only type of event.

  • FICUS is cinder block glossy painted walls, so hanging materials are usually limited to command strip hooks and duct tape, if the art is framed. We recommend bringing your own materials to hang / install.

  • We are hoping to expand to venues throughout the Los Molinos district. If you’re a business in this historic area and would like to help out this creative community effort, feel free to e-mail us.
